Here are some sample photos.

July 17

Tamron 16-300 Lens

Beautiful morning for July. The roses are still in bloom, so cannot put the camera away just yet.

Practiced some lighting technique today, and worked on not pulling off the shot too soon, as I have a tendency to do.

Tamron 16-300 Lens

I am enjoying this lens more and more. Practice breeds familiarity, and I am feeling more familiar and comfortable with the lens each time I test it.

I thought roses were delicate, but they do not seem to mind the heat. They may dry up quicker, but they continue to bloom in the extreme heat, providing me continuous subject matter.

Sigma 10mm Fisheye Lens

Trying out a 10mm fisheye today, and it is a prime lens, so the your feet and arms are your distance focus. Wow! 10mm is wide, almost 180 degrees I think. I didn't realize my shadow would crash (photo bomb) most of the photos, but I definitely improved my realization of what was in the screen as I practiced. It will take some more practice, but I like the lens and the curves and swirls it produces. It is definitely a landscape lens. Portraits might all look like horses.

Tamron 16-300 Lens

I wanted to test my new lens and was pleasantly surprised at the resolution. My complex in the spring is a photographer's dream with the abundance of subjects to be photographed.

Nikon 35mm (f/1,8)

All photography should begin with a simple fixed lens. Otherwise we tend to rely on the zoom ring and never learn how to actually frame a photograph. With a fixed lens, your legs and arms are your zoom, and it's a great way to learn the art of composition.

Nikon 18-105

Picked up this lens (used) on eBay for about half price. Don't be afraid of used as long as you trust the seller. This seller bought a new Nikon 18-300, so no longer needed this lens.

I liked the inbetween focal distance.

Sigma 70-300

These pictures represent my first digital camera, a Minolta Maxxum-which did not even mention pixels back then.

The lens is new; the camera ancient. However, I think the photos hold up pretty well against the others.
